INSPECTED ONCE, INSPECTED RIGHT!

One home, one inspection – done right the first time. With formal training and 8 years of experience, we know where to look for defects.

LEAD

Exposure to lead present in the paint and water pipes can cause serious respiratory illness, which makes lead inspection even more crucial.

FOUNDATION

Has the foundation been laid down properly? Are there any cracks or water intrusion in the foundation? We’ll find out.

MOLD & AIR QUALITY

We will detect the presence of mold, carbon monoxide and other elements that impact indoor air quality.

ROOF

We inspect the roof for any leakage, missing or broken shingles, and also determine if it can weather the storm.

WATER QUALITY ANALYSIS

Heavily mineralized water can corrode the plumbing system and clog up water heaters. Consider getting water quality testing done.

ELECTRICAL

We find leaks, blockage and corrosion problems in the electrical system. We also look out for loose electrical wires and short-circuit hazards in the making.

SERVICES

We offer the most comprehensive home inspection service available.

We start at the roof and evaluate the roof covering materials and any roof penetrations, including the chimney, the ventilation system, the plumbing stack, and any other systems or components located on the roof.

Our next step is to inspect the exterior of the home. Our exterior inspection is focused on the cladding (siding or brick structures), windows, soffits and fascia, and of course the foundation integrity.  One of the most important “look fors” in any home inspection is the presence of water intrusion via the roof or exterior of the house, as water intrusion can impact the structural integrity of the home.

We then move inside the house, and starting at the bottom, work our way up through the home into the attic. While inside, we address such things as the structure, the heating and cooling systems, the electrical and plumbing systems, the insulation and ventilation, smoke alarms, appliances, and accessories such as fireplaces.

MBHI adheres to the INTERNACHI Standards of Practice. For full description of what is covered in a home inspection, please refer to these standards of practice.

Our evaluation is then communicated through a detailed inspection report, which includes descriptions of all the systems in the home, as well as any recommended improvements. This will help you prioritize the improvements and develop a blueprint for future upgrades for your home.

Our report will not only give you peace of mind, knowing that you have made the right home choice, but will help you know are the most immediate needs to make your home safe and comfortable.

Included in our basic services:

-Water intrusion inspection. Our inspectors are trained in detecting water intrustion issues in any home.

-Infrared inspection, which can help detect insulation problems and moisture intrusion.
